(1 minute read)
The previous 2 years have put many of us on the back foot, feeling as though we are pawns in a game over which we have had little control.
Our decisions and actions have been influenced by external forces and authorities which we previously gave little or no real consideration (apologies to current government authorities).
In 2022, it is believed that those who are more intentional and purposeful in their business and personal interactions have the potential to achieve higher levels of success.
In addition to your regular goal setting, we encourage you to set intentions that support your goals and those of your team or organisation.
To clarify the difference, goals are based around what you want to Be, Do or Have. Intentions are the behaviours and processes you will go through to help achieve your goals.
Goal: Get 7-8 hours’ sleep per night
Intention: To be rested, recovered and re-energised.
When we are intentional, we are adopting real focus and placing ourselves in the moment, with an eye on the reason behind this intent.
Who are you being? What are you doing? Why are you doing it?
These 3 questions allow you to check inside while you work outside!
Setting intentions can bring a greater level of focus and remind you of the bigger picture – and we can all do with a nice big picture this year!
Such a great read which everyone should try and implement throughout the year, not just about the goal but the reasoning and intentions. Love it!
Thanks for the feedback and endorsement Emma.
